Posture and spinal column testing

Camp Vanja Grbić – in cooperation with the Rehabilitation Clinic GB Medic

Within the Camp Vanja Grbic, professional testing of posture and spinal column of children is carried out, with the aim of preserving health, proper physical development and preventing injuries during the period of intensive growth and sports load.

The program is implemented in cooperation with GB Medic, and is led by physiotherapist Goran Blagojević (Goša), with many years of experience in working with children, athletes, professional teams and national teams.

What does it mean to test posture?

Posture and spinal column testing is a professional, individual examination that provides insight into the way a child moves, stands and carries his body. Particular attention is paid to the correct posture and possible deviations that often occur in children in sports.

The objectives of the testing are:

  • Early detection of postural disorders

  • prevention of deformities of the spinal column (scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis)

  • Improving the correct posture and quality of movement

  • Reducing the risk of injury and pain during growth

The examination is painless, non-invasive and fully adapted to the age of the child.

What does the examination look like at the campsite?

Testing is carried out during the camp, in controlled and safe conditions. Each child is viewed individually, without comparison with others and without any pressure.

The review includes:

  • Analysis of posture in standing and moving

  • assessment of the position of the spinal column, shoulder, pelvis and foot

  • Detecting possible asymmetries and functional deviations

  • Evaluation of the movement pattern relevant to the sport

The focus is on prevention and proper development, not on diagnosis or labeling of the problem.

Written report for parents

On the basis of the test, parents receive a written report on the postural status of the child, which includes:

  • a clear description of the existing situation

  • Any irregularities that may have been detected

  • Recommendations for corrective and preventive work

  • advice on further sports load and development

The report is designed to be understandable even to parents without medical knowledge, with a focus on practical and useful information.

Why is posture testing important in children in sports?

During the growth period, children are particularly sensitive to improper loads. Regular posture testing allows:

  • A timely response before serious problems occur.

  • Safer sports

  • Healthier and more healthy physical development

  • long-term protection of the spinal column and joints

At Camp Vanja Grbić, we believe that the health of the child always comes before the results.

Testing is carried out as needed and on a professional recommendation. After receiving the report, the parents decide on the next steps.

No. The examination is completely painless, non-invasive and adapted to the age of the child.
