Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention

Camp Vanja Grbić – professional, safe and child-friendly

In the Camp Vanja Grbić, special attention is paid to rehabilitation and injury prevention, because the health of the child is the basis of any long-term sports development. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the camp provides a safe environment in which training is conducted in accordance with the age, physical development and individual needs of each child.

The program is implemented in cooperation with GB Medic, and is led by physiotherapist Goran Blagojević (Goša), with extensive experience in working with children, athletes, professional teams and national teams.

Why is it important to prevent injuries in children's sports?

Children go through intense physical changes. In combination with the sporting load, this can lead to:

  • muscle imbalances

  • irregular movement patterns

  • overload of the joints and spinal column

  • An increased risk of injury

The goal of the rehabilitation and injury prevention program in the camp is to recognize such conditions in time and prevent them, before they grow into more serious problems.

Connection with posture and motor skills testing

The rehabilitation program is directly related to:

  • Posture and spinal column testing

  • Assessment of basic motor skills

  • Analysis of the quality of movement during sports activities

Based on these assessments, the expert team gets a clear insight into the needs of each child and, if necessary, proposes additional preventive or corrective activities.

Rehabilitation and Prevention Programs (optional)

Depending on the findings and individual needs, parents are offered the opportunity to include their child in additional programs during the camp, exclusively on a voluntary basis.

Rehabilitation programs may include:

  • Individually tailored kinesitherapy

  • group exercises of corrective and preventive character

  • Work on stability, mobility and movement control

Sports massages are carried out with the aim of:

  • relaxation of the muscles

  • Fatigue reduction

  • Injury Prevention

  • faster recovery after training

Individual work in the gym focuses on:

  • Strengthening the stabilizer

  • The development of functional strength

  • Improving mobility

  • The correct technique for performing the exercises

All programs are strictly adapted to the age, physical development and sports requirements of the child.

Security and professional supervision

All rehabilitation and preventive activities are carried out under constant professional supervision, respecting the principles of safe training. The emphasis is not on intensity, but on the quality of performance and proper development.

Parents are informed and involved at all times through:

  • clear recommendations

  • Written reports

  • Open communication with the expert team

A common goal

The common goal of the camp, coaching and medical-rehabilitation team is:

A healthy child, a properly developed body and safe, long-term sports progress.

This approach enables the potential of young athletes to develop on a healthy basis, with timely prevention and professional support.
