Vanja Grbić volleyball camp

Vanja Grbić’s camp

Vanja Grbić’s camp started operating in 2017. Experience in working with children began with the school of beach volleyball within the VIP Beachmaster, the tournament of the Serbian beach volleyball championship which was attended by 12,000 children from many cities in Serbia. The school of my father Milos, in Klek, with many years of experience gave the state champions in men’s and women’s competition of young categories and I felt the need to start an overall approach in working with children towards their development through sport – volleyball. Analytics and methodology of volleyball, pedagogy, educational and developmental psychology is the core of the approach to work with children and motor skills, orthopedics, physiology, biomechanics in creating specifics programs in working with childrenThe program we do at the camp is unique and designed to give each child a completely clear picture and a program that is aimed at his / her development and maturity. The concept is HEALTH THROUGH SPORT, where sport is INSTRUMENTALITY for achieving the goal – creating a complete healthy and mature person aware of himself/ herself and his/ her potential, whose orientation is based on healthy principles and values that adorn the most responsible members and factors of societySo far, 2,300 children from 36 countries from all continents, even from Africa, have passed the camp. From beginners to serious competitors. MD, PhD Duško Spasovski, an orthopedic surgeon, deals with orthopedic testing, analysis and creation of exercises, individual programs and recommendations, together with his team. Besides medicine, he also graduated from the FSFV in Belgrade (Faculty of Sports and Physical Education). The doctors of sports and physical education team, as well as doctors, including me and the head of the team PhD Milivoj Dopsaj, the head of the department analytics and diagnostics at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University in Belgrade, deal with motor testing, analysis and creation of exercises and recommendations.

The part in charge of psychological analysis belongs to Phd Ani Pešikan from the Faculty of Philosophy with whom I try to understand the way of children thinking, as the original principles and methods in educating coaches to work with children nowdays. The camp is a type of action research that primarily serves to say HOW, WHY, HOW MUCH and WHEN. All camp participants receive equipment, analysis and recommendations for further work, also video material of the shift. this is what our production, led by Nemanja Obradović, deals with.

PhD Katarina Djokic takes care of children’s health, and  a physiotherapist Goran Blagojevic from GB Medic Team is engaged in exercises in the introduction part of the training, as well as the rehabilitation if necessary and indication. An integral part of the camp is the training that is topical and includes prevention of fear, motivation, violence prevention network and so on.

Camp participants  were also the children of the Special Olympics, who through UNIFIED SPORT shared their experience with another children as part of a phenomenal cooperation with the office of the Municipal Assembly of Serbia. As a global ambassador, I could not be happier.
